Silk, photographed on the Silk Roads tour DH and I undertook in Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. One of the things I learned was that there were many, and not just one, silk roads. Many different routes to arrive at the same place or objective.
I keep reminding myself as I see the squabbling going on over our current attempts to extricate ourselves from the pandemic, that there may be many routes.
Spent a lot of yesterday editing (or re-writing) the submitted novel to see if I can come up with what the editor has in mind. It comes with the territory. DH played the final distanced, lockdown bridge. The workmen cleared up and left – almost. Great what’s app call with family. Started tidying the front room as we have a guest to share our Appetite Events meal this week. Surreal feeling as she’s going to be only the 5th person across the threshhold, apart from a handful of workmen, in 4 months.
Abandoned the TBR in favour of another Georgette Heyer. Routes out of, see above…
