Lockdown Diary – 2020 – 85 – The Canopy

Edinburgh Tree Map

My friend Jenny Mollison, Scotsman columnist and knowledgeable in all things green, growing and harvestable, published the above link on FB this morning. There are other bits of information if you google Edinburgh Tree Map. Trees are such a wonderful embellishment in urban spaces.

Visited the chiropodist this morning where I made my first effort with actually wearing a mask. Then along to Earl Grange, corner of Causewayside and Fountainhall Road, where the ladies have opened for takeaway – including lovely baking – and stands of cards and small gifts. Failed to get to the bank on time yesterday as I had a lovely long telephone chat with a friend. That’s today’s walk sorted.

I met an elderly couple, neighbours, on my way back. She’s in need of physio. After so many weeks, people are suffering from increasingly difficult niggles that could be sorted so easily. Let’s hope the end really is in sight.

Discovered while in the shower why I’d added a malfunctioning oven to the WIP and do really think that end may be in sight. Already tuning in to the nineteenth century, where I’m going next, and must take care. Distraction is all too easily available.

How is your equilibrium?

Anne
