This is another month when I haven’t written a post of my own as I was away from base. The task posed by Rhobin was:
Share a childhood Halloween memory or what was your scariest Halloween?
Below is a list of the group who have risen to the challenge and I’m sure there’ll be some hair-raising stuff therein.

Last year, Capital Writers produced a small volume of Spooky Stories and it’s available to buy here: DARK STORIES

Anjana C described my own contribution as:
The Cemetery House by Anne Stenhouse is a deliciously gothic ghost story with a criminal bent, in her Five Star review – thank you , Anjana C
Anne, you have done better than I managed. I wrote about Hallo Ween without saying anything about halloween, but your post is even briefer. Well done.

Hi Rhobin, the restaurant/cafe was recommended to us but the queue was so long we had to give up. I really enjoyed writing my own story for the book – must try another one! Anne

Hi Marci, it is a bit confusing. Sort of it’s Saturday this must be Edinburgh. Anne

Love that Athen’s photo. I visited a friend earlier this week and her house was decorated inside and out – -put me to shame, as she’s nursing a very sick husband and trying to earn a living and I had NOTHING out. I’ve since gotten a pumpkin out there to hint at the season and maybe I’ll get around to carving it before the 31st

Hi Skye, the shops here are full of pumpkins but the UK desn’t ‘do’ Hallowe’en with the intensity you do in the US. It was turnips when I was a wee girl. I don’t know how my mum managed to scrape them out! Anne
